It’s Piper’s first birthday!

Have been looking at old photos (the kind that make you go ‘awwwww’) and can not believe how much this dog has grown in a year.

We heard from the breeder today, a happy birthday email, and we haven’t heard from her in months, so it was nice to be able to catch her up on all her holiday adventures and such. Took some photos today for her – which make a very interesting comparison to last autumn and winter!

So in honour of the dog’s day, a flickr photo bonanza can be found here to show the big puppy and how she has changed!

We got her a rawhide bone, which she’s never had before, and she’s pretty much spent the evening chewing on that and not much else. Ah, a dog’s life.

Man, if you’re like this over your puppy, I can just imagine what it’s going to be like when that baby comes!

Hey, have you been explaining to Piper that the whole world is about to change??

Yep, last year was a mini-practice run to this year – a new little thing in the house who was a ball of needs, who pee’d everywhere, who caused sleepless nights, who we had to buy so much gear for that she doesn’t even use now… But of course it was a dog in the end and not a human!
Piper still hasn’t quite gotten the hang of the fact that she is almost 30kg as opposed to 5kg and will sit on almost anyone’s lap so that is sort of a concern for January! But at least I will be here to supervise, and she’ll give me someone to talk to when I am at home!

Your blog is excellent – keep it up! Don’t miss visiting this site about chocolate gift. It pretty much covers chocolate gift related stuff.
